Dolores Rose Spencer

Dolores “Dee” Rose Spencer, 68, of Rigby died Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at her home in Rigby. Dee was born on December 24, 1935 in Taylor County, Iowa a daughter of James M. Allen and Helen Marie Spencer Allen. She was raised in Iowa. Dee married Ivan Paul Spencer on April 23, 1954 at the Baptist Church in Bedford, Iowa. After their marriage they moved to Idaho to enjoy the mountains. She worked at Muir Roberts in Rigby, Idaho. Dee enjoyed gardening, bead work, sewing, outdoors, hiking, and camping. Survivors include three daughters Bonny (Randy) Jennings of Rigby, Idaho, Rhonda Spencer of Rigby, Idaho, Colleen (Joe) Chappell of Salem, Oregon, two sisters Barbara (Doyle) Jackson of Clarinda, Iowa, Mary Lou (Dave) Holm of Lancaster, California. 6 Grandchildren. Dee was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 3, 2004 at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel with Bishop Larry Stucki officiating. The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow in the Sutton Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
