Donald Joe Dinsdale

Donald Joe Dinsdale, 92, of Rigby, Idaho passed away Friday, October 18, 2024 at the home of his daughter in Pingree, Idaho. Don was born September 2, 1932 in Annis, Idaho, the son of Joseph Star Dinsdale and Minnie Cora Hunting Dinsdale.

Don served his country as a member of the United States Airforce. On July 31, 1953 he married Velma Hunsaker in the Idaho Falls Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He lived his life in Menan and Rigby, Idaho, working for the Jefferson County Road and Bridge.

Don had a loving testimony of the Savior, Jesus Christ. He was a devoted loving husband who has now reunited with his sweetheart, Velma, a son, Jeffrey Dinsdale, his parents, and a sister, Sharon Price who all preceded him in death. He will be missed by his daughter, Jolene Smith and son, Michael Dinsdale. A granddaughter Shelly (Dave) Santos, grandson, Kenneth Smith, great grandson, Nathan (Amber) Santos, and a great-great granddaughter, Jersey Santos with a second due any moment.

Don loved being with his family, playing games or going on drives. He had a feel for woodworking and made it his hobbie.

A funeral service will be held for Don on Saturday, October 26, 2024 in the Rigby, Idaho 18th Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (4021 East 300 North, Rigby, Idaho) at 11:00 a.m. The family will meet with friends on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel (101 West Main Street, Rigby, ID) from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., and again on Saturday, at the church from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
