Donald Walter Tilton

Donald Walter Tilton, 83, of Rigby, Idaho, formerly of Cornelius, Oregon passed away Friday, January 3, 2025 in Rigby. He was born November 4, 1941 in Los Angeles, California, the son of Walter Claremont Tilton and Margret Daisy Wagner Tilton.

Donald served in the United States Navy as a photographer, He married Kitty Carr on June 9, 1973 In Los Angeles, California. They later divorced. On August 6, 1999 he married Joyce Rathbun Stokes in Clackamas County, Oregon.

Donald worked as a dental lab technician. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He has lived in California, Vancouver, Washington, Forrest Grove and Cornelius, Oregon and most recently Rigby, Idaho.

Donald enjoyed photography, model building, and practicing on his flight simulator.

Donald is survived by his wife, Joyce Elizabeth Tilton of Rigby, Idaho. A son, James (Cindy) Tilton of Ione, California. Sister’s, Michele (Cliff) Steele of Live Oak, California and Suzy Young of Des Moines, Iowa. A brother, Dennis Tilton of Toole, Utah and two grandchildren.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Margret Tilton. Grandparents, Alan and Daisy Wagner and Ralph and Gladys Tilton.

A memorial service will be held in his honor on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Rigby 25th Ward Church, 602 Sundance, Rigby, Idaho.
