Donna Branson, 93 of Iona, died at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, Sunday, August 24, 2008.
She was born November 21, 1914 in Salina, Utah, to James Albert Brown and Emma Josephine Casto Brown. She attended schools in the Wilford area and graduated from Rigby High School. On October 28, 1936 she married Robert Emerson Branson in Wilford, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized April 27, 1961 in the Idaho Falls, LDS Temple.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Primary, Relief Society and as a Visiting Teacher.
Donna loved the outdoors, hunting, riding horses and best of all, fishing.
She is survived by two daughters; Sharry Charlene (William) West, of Boise, Karen (Gene) Rockwood of Idaho Falls, a son; Robert Merril Branson of Idaho Falls, fourteen grandchildren, and thirty-two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters, two brothers, a great-granddaughter, Jode Ann, and a daughter-in-law, JoAnn.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 29, 2008, at the Denning Building, 5169 Denning, Iona, with Bishop Albert Davidson, conducting. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Th ursday, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby, and from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Friday at the Church.
Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
