Donna Mae Moncur Ker, 95 of Idaho Falls, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016 at her home.
Donna was born August 26, 1921 in Heyburn, Idaho to James Moncur and Ida Nielson Moncur. She was raised and attended schools in Ririe, graduating from Ririe High School. On May 28, 1941, she married John “Jack” Irwin Ker Jr. in Ririe, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple March 20, 1946. They were blessed with 4 daughters.
Donna was a beautiful daughter of her Heavenly Father. She lived her life in constant service of others. In her youth, she cared for her Mother and all of her siblings with love and deep compassion. Donna loved to dance, roller-skate, and shared her talents with everyone. Later in life, Donna served an honorable mission with her loving husband, Jack, in the Washington D.C. LDS Temple; and together they officiated and served in the Idaho Falls LDS for 20 years.
She is survived by her daughters, Eunice Darlene (Dale) Bunnell, Judy Ruth (Tom) Ker-Hally, Laura Jan (Mark) Lynch, all of Idaho Falls, Dawna Joan (Rick) Sandoval of Ririe; brothers, James (Maggie) Moncur of Idaho Falls, Richard (Cleone) Moncur of Declo, Blaine (Joyce) Moncur, of Idaho Falls, 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband John “Jack” Irwin Ker Jr., 2 sisters, 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Parley Ward LDS Chapel 2055 Coronado Street, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83404.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery. Services are under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
