Donna Belle Martin

Donna Belle Martin, age 80, of Idaho Falls, died Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Donna was born May 19th, 1927 at Osgood, a daughter of Albert Joseph Carpenter and Lila Belle Martin. She married Charles Stuart Martin on November 19, 1943 in Dillon Montana. Their marriage was solemnized April 26, 1950 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Following Charlie’s death in 1970, she married Dean Gneiting, he also preceded her in death. She was raised in Osgood and graduated from Midway High School. She then continued her education at Eastern Idaho Technical College. She was member of the LDS Church. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, gardening, collecting miniature tea sets, traveling spending time with her family, and hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday parties. She will be dearly missed by her family who loved her very much. She is survived by three daughters; Jean (Doug) Patterson of Idaho Falls, Fern (Terry) Martin of Carmichael, CA, Sharon (Dan) Berrett of Rigby, four sons; Charles (Gayle – who is deceased) Martin of Idaho Falls, Jay (Glenda) Martin of Rigby, Nathan (Gloria) Martin of Grant, Robert (Lori) Martin of Rigby, a sister Mona Widerburg of Ventura, CA, twenty-three grandchildren, and forty-eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, two sons; George Eddy Martin and Dale Eugene Martin, two sisters, three brothers and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2008 at the Menan LDS Church. The family will visit with friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at The Menan LDS Church, and from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Church. Interment will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
