Donnetta Fisher Merrill, 94 of Idaho Falls, formerly of Annis, died Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Turtle and Crane assisted living center in Idaho Falls.
She was born March 1, 1918 in Annis, Idaho to Hyrum James Fisher and Artemissia Clark Fisher. She was raised and attended schools in the St. Anthony area. On July 27, 1935 she married Eldon Ray Merrill in Annis; their marriage was solemnized July, 1963 in the Idaho Falls, LDS Temple.
Donnetta is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; she taught primary, and Mutual, and was the second councilor in the Annis Ward Relief Society; she also served as ward historian and was a visiting teacher for 40 years. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing and gardening.
She is survived by her daughters; Carol Lynch, of Idaho Falls, Rae Ann (Ron) Wilson, of Aberdeen, Washington, Joyce Dansie, of Idaho Falls, a brother; Oren (Bette) Fisher, of Weiser, Idaho, 8 grandchildren, 18, great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, 6 sisters, and 2 brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 30, 2012, at the Menan Stake Center, 698 N. 3600 E., Menan. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery, under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
