Dora Mae McCullough, age 80, of Rigby, died at the Rexburg Nursing and Rehab Center in Rexburg, Monday, November 28, 2005.
Dora was born February 4, 1925 at Mammoth, Utah a daughter of Charles Edward Hillman and Mary Emily Harker Hillman. She married Bill McCullough September 8, 1945 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. During the 2nd World War she was a 1st Class welder at Portland Oregon. She was a U.S.O. Volunteer in Salt Lake City, Utah. Throughout her life she worked as a Nutritional Assistant in the L.D.S. hospitals in Salt Lake City and Idaho Falls, operated a restaurant by the stock yards in Idaho Falls and a family business, Ma’s Café in Rigby. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as Sports Director, Primary Teacher and visiting Teacher in the Clark Ward. She was on the board of directors for the Rigby Senior Center and was honored as citizen of the month for the Rigby Senior Citizen Center. She was a daughter, wife, mother, grand mother, great grandmother, sister and friend who lived a life of unconditional love and had many claim her as mom and grandma. She is survived by 2 daughters, Linda Mae Ellis of Irwin, Idaho, Sally Ann (LeRoy) Mitchell of Rigby, 1 son Steven Bill (Deborha) McCullough of Idaho Falls, 1 sister Marion Jean (Jim) Anderson of Moscow, Idaho, 1 brother Gary (Gladys) Hillman of Rigby, 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill McCullough, 2 sisters and 4 brothers. Funeral services will be held Friday December 2, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. in the Rigby 3rd Ward LDS Chapel, (364 North 4100 East) with Bishop Calvin McOmber officiating. The family will visit with friends on Thursday December 1st from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel and on Friday for one hour prior to services at the church.
