Doralie Briggs Weaver Gambles, 84 of Rexburg, died Friday, November 1, 2013 at the Homestead Assisted Living Center of Rexburg.
She was born May 5, 1929 in Archer, Idaho to Raymond George Briggs and Leah Margaret Hansen Briggs. She attended schools in Archer and graduated from Madison High School. She continued her education at Ricks College. In 1949 she married Leland Weaver in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple; he preceded her in death. In 1980 she married Theron Gambles in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Doralie worked for and retired from Ricks College where she operated the printing press; after her retirement she volunteered to work in administration.
Doralie was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many capacities and enjoyed working in the Idaho Falls Temple for 9 years. She enjoyed dancing, card games, and socializing with friends and ward members.
She is survived by her daughters, Karen Rae (Brent) Robinson, of Victorville, California, Lola Mae (Don) Zabriski, of Dayton, Jena Marie (Clayton) Moore, of Idaho Falls, sons; Richard Leland (Shirley) Weaver, of San Lorenzo, California, Ronald Blaine (Rhonda) Weaver, of St. Anthony, Randall Briggs (Terri) Weaver, of Salem, Russell Austin (Karen) Weaver, of Burton, brothers; Kay (Georgia) Briggs, of Pocatello, Garth (Colleen) Briggs, of Salt Lake City, Utah, 34 grandchildren and 52 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, a sister and a grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 4, 2013, at the Archer LDS Chapel, 201 W. 8000 S. Rexburg. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:45, prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Sutton Cemetery. Services are under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
