Doris Elleen Jones

Doris Elleen Quinton Jones, age 69, formerly of Rigby, died May 31, 2011 at her home in Aberdeen, Maryland. She was born August 7, 1941 in Ucon, Idaho to Alfred James Quinton and Ella Teressa Sorenson. On August 7, 1964 she married Roger Edwin Jones in the Idaho Falls LDS temple. She worked at the Atomic Energy Commission Site (now Idaho National Laboratory) and Ricks College (now BYU-Idaho) in Rexburg, Idaho. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many church positions. She is survived by her children, Craig Jones of Aberdeen, Maryland and Sharon Sathiyanathan of Salt Lake City, Utah; her sisters, Donna (Gale) Young and Janice Larsen, both of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Margie Haycock of Terreton, Idaho and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers and 5 sisters. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, June 11, 2011 at the Fielding Memorial Cemetery, Idaho Falls, Idaho. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. prior to services at Eckersell Funeral Chapel (101 West Main Street, Rigby, Idaho).
