Doris Carla Weaver

September 3, 1955 — June 16, 2022

Doris C. Weaver, 66 of Rigby, Idaho, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022 at her home.

Dodie was born September 3, 1955 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Forrest Mann and Eileen Cromwell Mann.  She was raised and attended schools in the Ririe area, graduating from Ririe High School.  She was married to Ralph Simpson from 1973 to 1983; Michel Smith from 1985 to 2002.  On March 24, 2011 she married Robin Weaver, he preceded her in death.

Dodie worked as a secretary and as a bakery manager for Smith’s Grocery Store in Idaho Falls.  She enjoyed cooking and baking and was an excellent cake decorator. She also enjoyed the outdoors; hunting, fishing, camping, rock climbing and dirt biking.   Dodie came from a long line of amazing women who taught her how to garden and can; she kept a beautiful garden and loved to can the things she grew.  She also grew flowers and loved to have fresh cut flowers on her kitchen table in the summertime.  Later in life, one of her greatest passions was reading even if it was just a cookbook.  Dodie was a little spit-fire of a woman; to know her was to love her.  She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Soar with the Angels my little Sweet Pea, till we meet again.

She is survived by her sister; Hollie (Roy) Monroe of Rigby, Idaho; brothers, Gary (Kae) Mann of Gray’s Lake, Idaho, Matt (Kay) Mann of Idaho Falls, Idaho; 6 nieces, 4 nephews, 3 great-nieces, and 20 great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and niece, Candace Lee Mann.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Gray’s Lake.
