Dorothy Greenwood Watson Doak, 90, of Rigby, died Monday, October 11, 2010 at the home of her granddaughter in Rigby. She was born August 27, 1920, in Rigby, one of 10 children to Oroson Greenwood and Lydia Ellsworth Greenwood. She was raised and attended schools in Jefferson County, graduating from Ririe High School. She met and married Alfred Watson, they were blessed with 3 children, Dennis, Gordon, and Rosemarie, as the children reached adulthood, Dorothy and Alfred divorced. She then married Bob Doak in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dorothy worked as a Technician and Bookkeeper at the DOE until her retirement. She excelled in everything she did from basketball in high school to the many awards she earned while working for DOE. She enjoyed traveling abroad, spending time with her family, and spoiling her grandkids and great-grandkids. Towards the end years of her life, she was limited because of medical conditions; she was then moved in with her granddaughter Kathy, she remained there until her passing. She is much loved and will greatly be missed, everyone she met in this life is better because of it. She was a strong, independent, beautiful person; we were blessed for the number of years we were allowed to spend with her. She is survived by her sons, Dennis A. (Marie) Watson, of Clatskanie, Oregon, Gordon C. (Connie) Watson, of Woodland, Washington, a daughter, Jan (Spence) Sims, of Rigby, sisters, Gladys Greenwood, of Sherman Oaks, California, Afton (AL) Jandro, of Carlsbad, California, Alice (Esley) Greiner, of Chino Valley, Arizona, Lydia Thorngren, of Arco, Idaho, brothers, Edmond Orson (Barbara) Greenwood, of Moreno Valley, California, Richard Foster (Doris) Greenwood, of Alhambra, California, 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
