Dorothy Ann Lundgren

June 6, 1934 — May 6, 2025

Dorothy Ann Gneiting Lundgren, age 90, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2025, in Draper, Utah. Born on June 6, 1934, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Theodore and Ruth Whitworth Gneiting. Dorothy was raised on a family farm in Lewisville. From an early age, she nurtured a love for music—often playing piano duets with friends.

A proud graduate of Rigby High School, Dorothy went on to attend BYU before transferring to Utah State University, where she earned her degree in Elementary Education. It was on the ski slopes of Utah State that she met her first husband, Bob (John) Glenn, with whom she shared many happy years and three beloved children: Linda Ann Fife (Larry), John A. Glenn, and David J. Glenn (Julie).

Dorothy spent several summers working in Yellowstone National Park—a place she loved deeply. Her adventurous spirit kept her hiking into her 80s. She was known for her warmth, unwavering kindness, love of music, and deep loyalty to her lifelong friends from college and Yellowstone.

A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Dorothy married Grant Lundgren in the temple and served a mission with him at the Liberty Jail Historic Site in Liberty, Missouri. After Grant’s passing, she married Dean Boyce, a cherished friend since first grade.

Dorothy found joy in skiing, dancing, gardening, cheering for the Utah Jazz, and especially in tending to her flowers. She adored her grandchildren—Connin, Carver, Aria, and Lander Fife—and delighted in spending time with her growing family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Eckersell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dorothy’s memory to Yellowstone Forever at yellowstone.org/ways-to-give.

Dorothy’s light, love, and laughter will continue to inspire all who knew her.
