Doug W. Taylor, 44, of Lewisville, died July 24, 2009. He was born December 7, 1964, in Salmon, Idaho to Wane O. Taylor and Sharon L. Cope Taylor. He graduated from Leadore High School where he participated in 8 man football, basketball, and track. He continued his education at Western Montana College where he played football in the NAIA conference. He married Billie Jo Taylor, they later divorced. On June 8, 2007, he married Denise M. Galle in Idaho Falls. He coached grid kid football and Rigby youth basketball. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, and riding 4 wheelers & motorcycles. Doug was a wonderful and loving husband, father, brother, uncle and son, when you met Doug you had a friend for life. He is survived by his wife, Denise Marie Galle Taylor, of Lewisville, a daughter, Samantha Jo Taylor, of Rigby, a son, Jordan Douglas Taylor, of Lewisville, his parents, Sharon L. Taylor, of Monteview, Wayne O. (Jenene) Taylor, of Carmen, sisters, Julie L. (Gary) Nichols, of Salmon, Jenny L. Phillips, of Bozeman, MT, brothers, Rod, W. Taylor, of Boise, Edward C. (Robyn) Taylor, of Healy, AK. Nieces and nephews, Jeffrey, Billi, Shayne& Gaige Taylor, Kenny Taylor, Ryan, Jessica & Jamee Shanafelt, Justin, Amalia, & Chanci, Phillips, Michael, & Matt Phillips, Hunter & Paityn Taylor, Dustin, & Kordelle Martens, Chad, Chelsea, Tylor, Jacob, Megan, Galle, Jack Leavell, Mother-in-law and Father-in-law, Cliff & Florence Galle, and sisters-in-law, Jenell (Doug) Martens, Cheryl (John) Leavell, brother-in-law Tyke (Cheri) Galle, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at the Lewisville, LDS Chapel, 474 North, 3450 East, Lewisville, with Pastor Rick Brown, conducting. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby, and from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., Wednesday at the church. Memorial Contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
