Doyle V. Pratt

Doyle V. Pratt, 66, of Rigby, passed away Wednesday, December 05, 2012 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. He was born January 18, 1946, in Pocatello to Verl Pratt and Dorothy Vera Steed Pratt. He was raised and attended schools in Pocatello, graduating from Highland High School. On January 14, 1982 he married Revella Jean Burke in Pocatello. He worked at Boise Cascade Homes in Pocatello for 11 years, owned and operated Bully Barn Sheds in Rigby and worked as a carpenter throughout his life. Doyle was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and the Carpenters Union. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, four wheeling, and enjoyed woodworking. He loved family and the barns he built. He is survived by his wife, Revella Pratt, of Rigby, daughters, Dana (Jesse) Camphouse, of Pocatello, Gina Ward, of Pocatello, Jacque (Eric) Struchen, of Blackfoot, Barbara (Jim) Guthrie, of McCammon, sons, Thane Hiatt, Robert (Erin) Lish, of Blackfoot, Laura (Kelly) Carter, of Idaho Falls, sister, Barbara (Melvin) Beebe, of Portland, Oregon, and brother, Kelly (Peggy) Pratt, of Pocatello, 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main Street, Rigby. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Angel Tree Child.
