Duane Lee Eddins, 74, of Rigby, died Wednesday, April 27, 2005, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Duane was born April 29, 1930, at LaBelle, Idaho a son of George William Eddins and Sarah Meiklejohn Eddins. He attended school in LaBelle and Caldwell, Idaho. He married Lois LaVerne Cope, February 1, 1952 in LaBelle. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple March 16, 1979. He served in the U.S. Army for 2 years in Germany. He worked in LaBelle for Irvin Harrop for 20 years and L & M feedlot for 16 years. He liked to fish, camp and spending time with his grandkids. He is survived by his wife Lois LaVerne Eddins of LaBelle, one daughter Lea Ann (Samuel) Stosich of Ririe, 3 sons: Michael Duane (Trudi) Eddins of Teton, Idaho, Robert Allen Eddins of LaBelle, Walter Lee Eddins of LaBelle, four brothers: Lonn Erwin (Julie) Eddins of Ririe, Zane LaRoy (Pat) Eddins of Monteview, Dempsey Lanell Eddins of McCall, Sam Earl Eddins of Idaho Falls, Lewis Deloy (Norma) Eddins of Horseshoe Bend, and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Etta Arvella, four brothers George William Jr. Ned Arlen, Elmer Meiklejohn and Noel Boulter. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 2, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. in the LaBelle 2nd Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop James Bazil officiating. The family will visit with friends on Sunday, May 1, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel and on Monday, May 2, from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
