Edna Ellsworth Bramwell

Edna Ellsworth Bramwell, 96 of Sun City Arizona, formerly of Lewisville, died Wednesday, March 30, 2011, in Sun City, Arizona. She was born November 23, 1914, in Lewisville, Idaho to Preston Blair Ellsworth and Edna Boyes Walker Ellsworth. She was raised and attended schools in Lewisville, and graduated from Midway High School in 1932. She continued her education at BYU in Provo, Utah, and graduated with Honors in 1936 earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree. On June 21, 1937 she married Keith Brown Bramwell in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They were later divorced. Edna taught Home Economics at Madison High School, Midway High School, Idaho Falls High School and Bonneville High School. When the new Skyline High School in Idaho Falls was competed she set up the Home Economics Department and taught there until she retired in 1977. She owned and operated the Riviera Café in Idaho Falls from 1956 to 1965. After retiring she made her home in Sun City Arizona. Edna is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in various callings. She served as president of the Idaho Falls Soroptomist Club and the Idaho Vocational Association; she also served as Captain of her camp of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She enjoyed traveling and visited most of the states in the US as well as many countries around the world. Above all she loved spending time with her family; she leaves a legacy of a life well-lived and a family well-loved. She is survived by her daughter, Marjorie (Richard) Kannarr, of Sun City, Arizona, sisters, Marjorie Gillespie, of Idaho Falls, Dorothy Roundy, of Mapleton, Utah, brother, Elmer Ellsworth, of Lewisville, grandchildren, Margene Davidsen, Jeannette (Dave) Patterson, Roy Nalder, Laura Nalder, and Preston (Christina) Nalder, and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 5 brothers. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2011, at the Lewisville LDS Chapel. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Lewisville Cemetery, under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
