Edna Erickson Briggs, 87, of Rexburg, Idaho died Tuesday, December 14, 2004 at Estacada, Oregon.
Edna was born December 4, 1917 in Archer, Idaho the daughter of Herman and Gladys Edna Blackburn Erickson.
She attended schools in Archer and Madison High School in Rexburg. She married Earl Albert Briggs, April 9, 1941 in the Salt Lake City Temple. She worked as a custodian for the Archer School for 35 years. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and Ward Historian. She loved her family which meant everything to her.
Survivors include: a daughter Sandra Gladys Homer of Rexburg, Idaho, 2 sisters: Olive G. Smith of Archer and Phyllis (Melvin) Smith of Idaho Falls, a brother Norman B. (Bessie) Erickson of Archer, 2 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 6 brothers and 1 sister.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 20, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. in the Archer Ward LDS Chapel. The family will visit with friends on Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Church. Burial will be in the Sutton Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family to assist in expenses.
