Edna Almeda Riniker; 87, of Rigby, Idaho died Thursday, February 13, 2003 at the Pinebrook Assisted Living Center in Rigby, Idaho. Edna was born October 8, 1915 at Grant, Idaho the daughter of Rolla Constantine Hix and Eda Ellen Webster. She was raised in Grant, Idaho and attended schools in Grant and Rigby High. She married June Gordon Riniker on November 24, 1934 at Grant, Idaho. They raised thier family in Jackson, Wyoming from 1945 to 1970. They moved back to Rigby, Idaho in 1975. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served as a Relief Society Secretary in Jackson, Wyoming and a visiting teacher. “Grandma Tetons”, known for her catching laugh, sense of humor and service, loved people, quilting, knitting, crocheting, cooking, making desserts, camping, fishing, riding her three wheeled bike and garage sales. She is survived by two daughters; Sherri (Rex) Jensen of Layton, Utah and Nelda (Ed) Flygare of Scottsdale, Arizona. Two sons; Olan Gordon Riniker of Jackson, Wyoming and LaVar Hix (Andrea) Riniker of Tacoma, Washington. A sister; Zelda (Ben) Hymas of Iona, Idaho. Seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son; Verl Kay Riniker, a sister and five brothers. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 17, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. in the Rigby 10th Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop Steve Anderson officiating. The family will meet with friends on Monday, February 17, 2003 from 11:30 a.m to 12:45 p.m. at the Rigby 10th Ward LDS Chapel. Burial will be in the Grant Central Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Funeral Home.
