Edna Mae Rottweiler

Edna Mae Rottweiler, 97, of Roberts passed away Sunday, July 20, 2008, at her home. She was born May 14, 1911 in Menan, a daughter of Alfred Levi Cowell and Nancy Catherine Clark Cowell. She was raised in Menan and attended Midway High School. On September 22, 1928, she married Paul Lawrence Rottweiler in Menan; their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake City, LDS Temple August, 22, 1945. She worked at Canners Seed in Lewisville, Roberts School Lunch Program, and at the L.D.S. Hospital as a Pink Lady. Edna was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in the Primary and Relief Society, she was also a charter member of the Roberts Garden Club, Roberts Lions Club and the Menan Friendship Club. She enjoyed quilting, pinochle, flowers, baking and eating apple pies. She is survived by three daughters, Julia Ann (Duane) Green, of Idaho Falls, Karol Marie (Benjamin) Poston, of Roberts, Karen May (Gary) Maritt, of Reno, Nevada, two sons, Paul Wayne (Glenda) Rottweiler, of San Antonio, TX, Dean (Marlene) Rottweiler, of Idaho Falls, 16 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Milbern and Della Poole, who raised her, and a son, Dale Lawrence Rottweiler, and a sister Grace Bybee. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 25, 2008 at the Roberts L.D.S. Chapel with Bishop Tim Allen, conducting. The family will visit with friends at the Roberts LDS Church from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday and 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery, under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
