Effie Hilma Biesack, age 91, of Salt Lake City, Utah, died at the home of her great nephew, Blaine Taylor in Salt Lake, Saturday, November 12, 2005. Effie was born September 5, 1914, in Rigby, Idaho, the daughter of Ferdinand Albrecht Petersen, and Ane Johanne Nielsen Petersen. Effie grew up and attended schools in Northern, California. As an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints she served in the Young Womens Association and Relief Society. She was an active Genealogist, and temple worker. She served several family history missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, with her husband. She traveled with her husband to Denmark and Germany to do family genealogical research. Effie had worked for a credit Union in San Diego, California, and enjoyed reading. Effie married Ralph Allen Biesack August 15, 1937 in San Diego, California. This marriage was later solemnized in the Mesa, Arizona L.D.S. Temple. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and three sisters. Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, November 16, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. The family will receive friends 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery, under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel.
