Elaine Loris Byrne

Elaine Loris Byrne, 87, of Terreton, Idaho, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Lewiston, Idaho. She was born Sept 10, 1926, in LaBelle, Idaho to Albert and Edna Johnson. She was raised and attended schools in Rigby. On February 25, 1955, she married Merlin Byrne; their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Elaine was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the temple. She lived in Terreton from many years on the home farm where she spent her days cooking for many hired men during harvest. She loved taking care of her flowers and garden. She did lots of canning and spent time painting ceramics. She loved and enjoyed spending time and doing things for her family. Survivors include her children, Danny Byrne, of Terreton, Jackie Byrne of Austin, Texas, David Byrne, of Boise, Lorrie and Brad Behrens, of Lewiston, Brother, Joel and June Byrne, of Rigby, 18 grandchildren 37 great-grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, with one more on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, mother and father one brother and sister as well as many other loved ones. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 15 at the Terreton LDS Stake Center with Bishop Scott conducting. The family will visit friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Friday, both at the church. Burial will be in the West Jefferson Memorial Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
