Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Poole Brimhall, 86, of Idaho Falls, died Monday, April 13, 2009, at her home.
Betty was born April 26, 1922, in Rexburg, Idaho a daughter of Harry L. and Ann Hansen Poole. She was actively involved in student government and dramatics at both Idaho Falls High School and Ricks College and sang in a trio with her friends Beth (Armstrong) Jaussi and Josephine (Stokes) Soelberg. She married Preston Burns Brimhall in 1943 and it was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City, Utah Temple in 1944.
She served in many different callings for the LDS church, the most recent ones being; a mission with her husband to the New Zealand Auckland Mission and the Salt Lake City Family History Mission, and from 1993-1996 served as the Matron of the Idaho Falls Temple. The Family Expresses appreciation to Creekside Hospice for their tender and Loving Care.
Betty is survived by her Husband, a daughter Diane B. (David) Mordecai, two sons Barry W. (Gwendolyn) Brimhall and Kelly W. (Nancy) Brimhall, a sister Norma Jean Oden, and 12 Grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. .
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Harold L. Poole, and Robert E. Poole.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2009, at the Idaho Falls Stake Center 11:00 a.m. The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 9:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. at the Idaho Falls Stake Center. Interment will be at Annis Little Butte Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
