Elizabeth “Liz” Ann Holm, 56, of Ammon, passed away April 23, 2017, at her home. She was under the care of her family and Encompass Hospice. Liz was born January 21, 1961, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Ronald and Opal Olsen. She grew up and attended schools in Boise and Idaho Falls. She graduated from Bonneville High School in 1979 and attended Rick’s College where she pursued a degree in English Literature. She loved Charles Dickens and collected copies of her favorite book, The Christmas Carol. She owned 42 copies. On November 5, 1982, she married James Scott Holm in the Idaho Falls, Idaho Temple. They lived in Roberts, Idaho for 19 years and later moved to Ammon, Idaho in 2010. They were the parents of four children: Scott, Cody, Hailey, and Crae. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. Her favorite calling was serving in the Young Women’s program in the Ammon 17th ward. She loved to have lunch with her husband every day for over fifteen years--she rarely missed a day. Liz looked forward to seeing her grandchildren whenever she could; she was at her happiest when the entire family was around. Liz was a special person and ALWAYS thought of others before herself. Liz was famous for her apple pies and sharing them with others. She loved her grandkids and spoiled them rotten. She will be missed. Liz is survived by: Husband, James Scott Holm Son, Scott (Natalie) Holm, of Bettendorf, IA, Son, Cody (Whittney) Holm, of Roberts, ID, Daughter, Hailey (Logan) Black, of Hurricane, UT, Son, Crae Holm, of Ammon, ID, Brother, Rick (Cristy) Olsen, of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, Sister, Shannon Anglesey, of Salem, OR, Sister, Mary (Ken) Cenell, of Boise, ID, Sister, Ronna (Earl) Marwell, of Idaho Falls, ID, Brother, Mike (Berna Dean) Olsen, of Iona, ID. She also had 8 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents: Ron & Opal Olsen. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 27, 2017, at 4459 John Adams Parkway Ammon, ID. Bishop Allen Landon of the Ammon 17th Ward will be officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the same address as above. Interment will be in the Iona Cemetery. The family wishes to express special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Teton Cancer Institute, Encompass Hospice, and the entire Quail Ridge Community.
