Ellen Drake

Ellen Drake, 104, of Lorenzo, passed away at Sage Grove Assisted Living in Rigby, Saturday, February 27th 2016. Ellen was born February 18th 1912, in Annis, Idaho a daughter to Warren Lester Merrill and Mary Hall Merrill. She attended schools in Annis graduating from the 8th grade. She married Elmer Raymond Drake, December 17th 1928 in Rigby, Idaho. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She worked for Canners Seed in Rigby and for Tibbetts Potato warehouse. She enjoyed crocheting and handwork. She was an avid Gardner. Ellen is survived by a son Billy (Arlene) Drake of Lewisville, 14 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son Harold, a daughter Kathleen Larson, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 3rd 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby, Idaho. The family will visit with friends prior to services at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Interment will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
