ELLEN Magdalene KILLIAN, age 69, died at her home in Rigby, Sunday, November 02, 2003 of ALS Lou Gehrig's disease. Ellen was born November 25, 1933, in Rigby, Idaho the daughter of David Osborne Glenn and Margaret Virginia Bagley Glenn.
Ellen grew up and attended schools in the Garfield and Rigby area. She earned her G.E.D. then went on to earn her Masters Degree from Brigham Young University in guidance and counseling, in 1985. Ellen taught at Fairview Elementary School in Ucon, Idaho from 1974 until 1996. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as Relief Society President and in the Primary Presidency. She served as a counselor in the Young Womens Mutual Improvement Association. Ellen also served in the Boy Scouts of America for 40 years. She was one of the few to be awarded the Silver Fawn Award in scouting. Ellen served as a 4-H leader for several years. She enjoyed oil painting, photography, sewing and crocheting, and especially camping, and hunting with her family. She was an avid genealogist.
Ellen married Charley Duane Killian, August 16, 1951 in Rigby, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls L.D.S. Temple, January 9, 1958. They were later divorced in 1989.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Ted and Von Glenn, and one great grandson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 5, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. in the Rigby 11th. Ward L.D.S. Chapel, 401 West 1st. South, Rigby, Idaho. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. and Wednesday 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the Church in Rigby. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery, under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
