Ellen D. Mason

Ellen D. Mason, 91 of Chokecherry, Idaho, passed away Monday, October 24, 2022 at Temple View Transitional Care Center in Rexburg, Idaho.

Ellen was born March 10, 1931 in Heise, Idaho to Henry Ira Spaulding and Gladys Christine Thomsen Spaulding.  She attended schools in Antelope, Ririe, and Rexburg, graduating from Ririe High School.  She married James Mason in Rexburg, Idaho.  They were blessed with 1 daughter, Christine and 3 sons James, Don and Dwight.  They made their home at Table Rock Ranch in Heise.

Ellen is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She was very kind and gentle to everyone.  She enjoyed collecting stamps, reading, and loved cats.  She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed being outdoors camping and fishing.

She is survived by her daughter, Christine (John) Littleton of Irwin, ID; sons, James V. Mason of Idaho Falls, ID, Don Mason of Idaho Falls, ID, Dwight Mason of Ucon, ID; 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, and great family friends Valerie and Bryan Fullmer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Sonny Spaulding.
