Ellery Maurice Horton, 86, of Rigby, ID, passed away November 24, 2018, at Rigby Lake Assisted Living, Rigby, ID.

Ellery is survived by his wife of 66 years, MyrnaRuth Finch Horton, of Rigby, ID; sons Garry Horton of Rigby, ID, Larry (Sharon) Horton of Ajo, AZ; daughter Delores (Steven) Hamilton of Rigby, ID; sister Doris Lindsey of Towanda, PA; brother Clair (Marjory) Horton of Athens, PA; brother in law Walt (Linda) Finch of Cape Coral, FL; sister in law Wilhelmina Horton of Avon, NY; grandchildren Wade (Jennifer) Horton of Gridley, CA; Charity Horton of Deming, NM; Autumn (Clifford) Jackson of Deming, NM; Matthew (fiancée Michelle Reyes Morrison) Horton of Phoenix, AZ; Kevin (Courtney) Horton of Queen Creek, AZ; Dillon (Morgan) Hamilton of Rigby, ID; 8 great grandchildren Elise Horton, Evelyn Horton, Dominic Horton, Madelyn Jackson, Grace Jackson, Emilia Horton, Nora Horton and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ellery was predeceased by his parents Ernest and Luella Platt Horton, in laws Arthur W. and Ruth Finch; sisters and brothers in law Muriel and David W. Lafy; Thelma and Floyd Hilliker, and brother Emerson Horton.

Ellery was born in Ghent, PA on December 11, 1931; married to MyrnaRuth Finch of Ghent, PA on August 23, 1952. Ellery attended Ulster High School, Ulster, PA. He was an electronic technician working at North American Autonoetics, Division of North American Rockwell Aviation in Anaheim, CA; an electrician at Kinney Electric in Yuba City, CA; President/Owner of Finch Mobile Home Sales, Athens, PA; an electrician at Alcoa Defense in San Diego, CA. Ellery and his wife loved to travel in their motorhome.

Ellery will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A private family service was held December 8, 2018 at the residence of Delores (daughter) and Steve Hamilton, Rigby, ID. Burial will be in the Central Cemetery, Rigby, ID.
