Elmo Lloyd Killian

Elmo Lloyd Killian, age 88, of Lewisville died Friday, November 2, 2007, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. Elmo was born February 6 1919, at Poplar, Idaho, to Earl Killian and Sarah Coles Killian. Elmo attended schools in the Poplar area. He served in the U.S. Army in the Philipeans during WWII. Elmo Married Rowena Beth Dixon September 23, 1940, in Lewisville Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls, LDS Temple. During most his life he worked as a Custodian at the Idaho National Laboratory. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He and his wife spent 15 years going south to Arizona for winter. He enjoyed square dancing with the Jolly Mixers Square Dance Club, traveling, fishing, and camping. He is survived by his daughter; Dixie (James) Denkers, of Salt Lake City, son; Wayne (Marge) Killian of Idaho Falls, a sister; Darline Newman of Idaho Falls, 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, 3 brothers, and 1 Sister. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at the Lewisville LDS Church. The family will meet with friends for 1 hour before the service.at the church. Internment will follow services at the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
