Elnora Mae Gilson

Elnora Mae Gilson, 88, of Rigby, died April 27, 2009, at the Homestead Assisted Living Center, in Rigby. She was born December 11, 1920, in Rigby, to Lars Pearl Hunsaker and Ethel Agnes Butler Hunsaker. As a young woman she spent many hours working on the family farm. On July 2, 1940, she married Glen R. Gilson, in Rigby, Idaho. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and belonged to the Eagles Club. Elnora took great pride in raising their five boys, collecting dolls, loved going dancing, starting at the age of 17 and danced her whole life, spending many hours crocheting, and spending time with her many friends and family members. She is survived by five sons: Mayard Gene Gilson of Idaho Falls; Gayland (Ruby) Gilson of Sugar City; Larry (Sherron) Gilson of Rigby; Lonnie (Dana) Gilson of Rexburg; and Dennis (Cindy) Gilson of Rigby. Three sisters: Ina Mickelsen of Pocatello; Josephine Montgomery of Butte, Montana; Velma (Donald) Densdale of Rigby, and one brother Arvin Hunsaker of La Dales, Oregon She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two grandsons, Ricky Gilson and Jason Hill, and her six sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2009 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. The family will visit with friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, and from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Thursday, both at the Funeral Home, Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery, under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby
