Eloise Call Payne of Idaho Falls, Idaho passed away on Saturday November 14 th , 2020 at the age of 69. Eloise was born on April 20th, 1951 in Twin Falls Idaho. She was the only daughter of Rex and Donna Call, joining her older brother David.  She lived in Burley, Idaho until she was 3 years old and then moved to Ammon, Idaho where she lived throughout her childhood and adolescent years.  She attended Ammon Elementary School and graduated from Bonneville High School in 1969.  She then attended Ricks College in Rexburg Idaho with her good friends Kathy Huls and Toni Heir.  Eloise married the love of her life Joseph “Brent” Payne on January 9 th 1971 in the Idaho Falls LDS temple.  They lived in Idaho Falls and Pocatello briefly and then moved to the Coltman area where they raised their family and have resided ever since.

Eloise’s most important and cherished job was being a loving and devoted wife and mother to her husband Brent, and her four children Jon, Matt, Ryan and Stefanie.  She had a great love for children and cherished her time working at Fairview Elementary School as a duty aide and later as a special education paraprofessional.  Eloise was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many callings including the Relief Society, Young Women’s and Primary.  She especially loved the 22 years she spent serving the primary children.

Eloise found her greatest joy with her family; she cherished their many trips to St. George, Island Park and Cherry Hill. In her later years she especially enjoyed attending all of her grandchildren’s many events and having them over at her home for sleepovers.  Those who know and love Eloise describe her as being selfless, loving, and positive.  We will especially miss her infectious laugh.  She will be deeply missed by her friends, family and everyone who knew her.

Eloise is survived by her loving husband Brent Payne, as well as her children—Jon and wife Kelly Payne of Idaho Falls, Matt and wife Jennifer Payne of Ammon, Ryan Payne of Ammon, and Stefanie and husband Ben Fuchs of Rigby; 16 grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is also survived by her brother David Call of Driggs, ID. She was preceded in death by her parents Rex and Donna Call and her mother in law Ruth Payne Nelson. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 20 th at Eckersell Funeral Home, 101 W. Main St. Rigby Idaho.
