Elsie Alberta Wolf, age 89, of Rigby, died Friday September 9, 2011 at The Gardens Assisted Living in Rigby.
Elsie was born on October 9, 1921. She was the third child of Alva Lawrence Burnett and Myrtle Martha Vail Burnett. Brothers were Percy Burnett (May 5, 1918) and Lawrence Lenton Burnett (May 12,1920).
She attended the following schools. Davis Elementary, Lincoln Middle School, Wilson Jr. High and Academy High School in Erie, Pennsylvania.
She married the love of her life, Conrad Joseph Wolf on May 14, 1938 in Ripley, New York. She gave birth to three children: Conrad Joseph Wolf, Jr., Raymond Alva Wolf and Patricia Anne Wolf
The Wolf family moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1956. Motorola Inc. employed her on her thirty-sixth birthday (10-9-57). She started as a Line Inspector, became a Crystal Grower and then a Supervisor of Germanium Crystal Growing. She took a leave of absence in 1979 and moved to Idaho. She retired from Motorola in late 1979. She bowled for Motorola from 1960 to 1969. She enjoyed playing Bingo at the Rigby Senior Citizens Center and being outside for walks.
She is survived by three children, Patricia Anne Wolf (William) Nunley of Mena Arkansas, Conrad Joseph Wolf Jr. of Erie, Pennsylvania, Raymond A. (Elaine) Wolf of Idaho Falls, eight grandkids, three step-grand’s, 20 great grandchildren, 1 step great grand, and 7 great great grands.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers and her beloved husband.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Bethel Baptist Church 3866 East 400 North in Rigby. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel 101 West Main Street, and on Wednesday for one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
