Emilio Jose Hernandez-Gonzalez, 53, of Rigby died at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah.
He was born November 12, 1954, at Canada de Pastores, Mexico, a son of Calletano Hernandez Zabala and Esther Gonzales Calderon. He was raised and attended schools in Mexico. In 1972 he immigrated to Hagerman, Idaho and in 1976 he moved to the Rigby area. January 6, 1978 he married Elida Rodriguez in Yurikia, Mexico, they later divorced. He worked as a farm laborer in his early years in Eastern Idaho, and as a laborer in construction.
Emilio was a member of the Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and especially loved spending time with his family and friends, and was an honorable human being to which we were blessed to have in our lives and will be truly missed by all, but we will continue to remember him and his spirit forever.
He is survived by a daughter, Maricela Hernandez of Idaho Falls, four sons, Alvaro Hernandez of San Antonio, TX, Ricardo Hernandez of Rigby, Calletano Hernandez of Rigby, Brian Hernandez of Rigby, three sisters, Amalia Hernandez, Angela Hernandez, Abelia Hernandez, and three brothers, Elias Hernandez, Eliseo Hernandez and Reynaldo Hernandez, all of Mexico and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2008 at the Holy Rosary Church in Idaho Falls, the family will visit with friends from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
