Enid Jensen

Enid Jensen, 80, of Rigby, on a beautiful sunny day, Saturday, June 19, 2010, was picked up by her angel and went to heaven. She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and buddy to all she came in contact with, she did not know a stranger. She was born January 11, 1930, in Rigby, to Henry Cartwirght McCullough and Edna Palinda Cole McCullough. She attended Rigby schools and moved to L.A. California at age 11, until 1946, when they moved back to Rigby. On September 17, 1947, she married Jerry O. Jensen, in Rigby, Idaho. She worked at BenFranklin and Safeway and at the Old Inn Cafe Army Community Services in Fort Monroe Virginia. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the golf course and Jayceetes with the Chamber of Commerce. She traveled the United States with her husband Jerry. She enjoyed the cabin in Palisades, loved to fish and golf and was a great cook and baker and would prepare 50 pounds of gizzards for the Hicks Helm & A.J. Trucking Golf Tournament at Jefferson Hills Golf Course. She is survived by her, husband, Jerry O. Jensen, of Rigby, a daughter, Kathy D. (Michael) Miles, of Idaho Falls, a son, Ryan O. (Cindie) Jensen, of Idaho Falls, a sister, Ada Dalke, of Chico, CA, 9 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded by her parents, 11 sisters and brothers, and a daughter, Patti Kae Jensen. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery, under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
