Erma Hill Henrie, age 89, of Idaho Falls, died Sunday May 20, 2007, in the Idaho Falls Health and Rehab Center.
Erma was born September 16, 1917, at Richvale, Idaho, a daughter of John Williamson Hill and Ivy Dixon Hill.
Erma was raised and attended schools in the Teton Valley, graduating from Teton Valley High School. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in the Primary and Relief Society. She drove bus for Teton Valley Stage, worked for Greyhound, Anderson Travel Agency as a ticket agent, drove school bus and worked for Kay’s Café in Driggs.
She enjoyed quilting, painting, ceramics, reading, gardening and flowers.
Survivors include: two daughters, Barbara Casper of Idaho Falls, Evaray (Alfred) Stites of Grant, Idaho, four sons: Dennis (Audrey) Henrie of Idaho Falls, James (AJ) Henrie of Eagle, Idaho, Delbert Henrie of Idaho Falls, Morgan (Raissa) Henrie of Anchorage, Alaska, four sisters: Murel Hill Kay of Richvale, Idaho, Ivy Mae (Frank) Hansen of Tetonia, Idaho, Lavina (Lowell) Miller of American Fork, Utah, Norma Jane (John) Corkill of Napa Valley, California, 22 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, 2 sisters and 1 daughter.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 25, 2007, at 11:00 a.m., at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. The family will visit with friends on Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Friday for one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Cache-Clawson Cemetery.
