Erma “JoAnn” Baxter, age 77, of Rigby, died at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center Sunday February 10, 2013.
JoAnn was born October 14, 1935 at Rigby, Idaho a daughter to Harry Richard Lee and Erma Theora Hebdon Lee. She attended Rigby Schools graduating from Rigby High School. She played clarinet in the Rigby High School Band.
She married Hyrum Forrest Baxter October 22, 1955 in Rigby, Idaho. She worked for J.C. Penny Co. in Rigby and Idaho Falls, at Broulims bakery in Rigby until she retired. She was a member of the LDS Church. She enjoyed bowling and was active with her husband in the Rigby Bowling League. She also bowled in the Rexburg League. She enjoyed sewing and quilting, camping and fishing with her family and road trips with her husband Hy.
She is survived by two daughters Terrsa Flug of Joshua Tree, California, Shelly (Robert) Boyce of Dutch Harbor, Alaska a son Stephen L. Baxter of Idaho Falls, a brother Terry (Carol) Lee of Idaho Falls, 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, her husband Hy, one sister, one daughter and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held for JoAnn and Hy on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:45 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
