Ethan Alexander Farwell of Rigby, Idaho passed away unexpectedly at the age of 15 on Saturday, November 11, 2017. Ethan is survived by his devoted mother Tawnya Jean Spaulding Farwell and sisters, Ashlyn Marie and Isabella Elise. He was preceded by his father Gary Marc Farwell. He is also survived by his grandparents Bruce and Linda Spaulding (Rigby), Gary and Louise Farwell (Farmington, Arkansas) and many uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family and friends around the world who miss him dearly. Ethan was born into a military family in Fort Bragg, North Carolina on November 15th, 2001. His childhood was spent in Germany traveling the world with his family. Ethan was a very intelligent young man, especially from a very young age. He loved reading and learning in every way, shape or form. While he traveled, he would spout off random facts about the scenery, history of the area, or just something that popped into his head. He loved using his hands and owned blueprints to build aircraft and the like with Legos. Ethan knew he was smart and absolutely loved to incorporate his quirky sense of humor in his everyday dialog. He was always able to provide comic relief at our most needed hour. As a teenager, he was very dedicated to his scout troop and their activities. His final scout project was planting 300 trees around the local Rigby lake to keep vegetation flourishing. Ethan was so kind hearted and so full of life, he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ririe Stake Center, 14061 North 130 East, Ririe, ID. Burial will follow in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Ethan Farwell Memorial Fund, in care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main Street, Rigby, ID 83442.
