Eudora M. Rasmussen Edwards passed away November 18, 2008 at the Good Samaritan in Idaho Falls. She was born to Joseph and Constance Jensen Smith on April 6, 1913 in Preston, Idaho. Her father died when she was 4 years old. The family moved to the Blackfoot area. At the age of 19 she went to work as a cook at the US Experiment Station in Dubois, Idaho, where she met and married Henry (Bud) Rasmussen. They had 3 children, Elaine, Joyce, and Wayne.
Eudora was active in the LDS Church. She served in many positions. Her greatest service was the 16 years she spent as the Relief Society President in the Beaver Creek Ward. She loved her family, friends, and the gospel. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, singing and cleaning windows. She enjoyed her pink petunias in the summer.
Bud died in 1968. Eudora kept herself busy working as a cook in the Dubois school system. She served as a missionary in the Minneapolis, Minnesota Mission. She later married Clifton May and then Fern Edwards, both who preceded her in death. She lived in Terreton with Fern Edwards her last years.
Eudora is survived by two daughters Elaine (Larry) Rasmussen Moss, of Bend, Oregon, Joyce Rasmussen (Jay) Youngstrom, of Rigby, Idaho, a daughter-in-law, Linda Rasmussen, of Idaho Falls, a brother, Vernal Larsen, of Gresham, Oregon, 22 grandchildren, 94 great grandchildren, and 6, great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, a son; Wayne Dee Rasmussen three brothers, John Larsen, Glen Smith, and Joseph Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 24, 2008 at the Dubois LDS Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Dubois Cemetery, under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
