E. DeWane Lords of Rigby, Idaho passed away Saturday, November 27, 2004 in Idaho Falls at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born March 5, 1931 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to W. Eugene and Harriet M. Short Lords. He grew up in Ucon, Idaho and attended and graduated from Ucon schools. He married Carma Jean Crapo in 1951 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She died in 1961. On March 5, 1963 he married Lenaia Hokanson Hansen in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. DeWane worked for the U.S. Postal Service for twenty-eight years in Idaho Falls, Salt Lake City, Utah and Rigby. After retirement from the Postal Service he worked preparing taxes for H & R Block Tax Services for eighteen years. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held many different positions. He loved gardening, yard work, fishing, wood working and was well known for his love and service, we will all miss him. He is survived by his wife Lenaia Lords of Rigby, Idaho. His children, Gaylon Lords of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Steven (Vicki) Lords of Las Vegas, Nevada, Anita (LaVern) Schoonover, of Vernonia, Oregon, Wayne Lords, Gary (Sonja) Lords of San Antonio, Texas, Diann Young of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Brent (Julie) Lords of Lake Mills, Wisconsin, Dewena (Oscar) Carlson of Ridgefield, Washington. Sixteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Carma, a brother and a sister. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in the Rigby 1st Ward LDS Chapel (401 W. 1st S. Rigby). The family will meet with friends Tuesday, November 30, 2004 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby, and on Wednesday, December 1, 2004 from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the Rigby 1st Ward LDS Chapel. Burial will be in the Ucon Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Funeral Home.
