Eugene "Cloy" Wurst

January 29, 1933 — August 9, 2021

Eugene “Cloy” Wurst passed away quietly on August 9, 2021 in West Jordan, Utah.

He was born on January 29, 1933, in Sugar City, Idaho to Herman Eugene Wurst and Alberta Jacobs Wurst.  He went to Sugar-Salem High School where he was freshman class president and also took classes at Ricks College and University of Utah.  He was a hard worker, getting up before dawn to go out to feed the cattle and to irrigate, by hand and shovel, the crops on the farm.  He loved the outdoors, model airplanes, cars, motorcycles, swimming, dancing, and fishing.

He is survived by three children, Lena Wurst Sprague (Steve), Dianne Wurst Burt (Paul), Doug Wurst, 12 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren, three siblings, Shirlene Millner, Helen Mabbutt, and Gwen Kopp and is predeceased by a son, Michael Wurst and parents Herman Eugene Wurst and Alberta Jacobs Wurst.

The family has entrusted IPS Mortuary in Utah and Eckersell Funeral Home in Idaho with the arrangements.  A viewing is scheduled for Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Sugar City 4 th Ward Meeting House 6 North Teton Ave., Sugar City, Idaho.  Interment will be at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
