Eva Mae Engberson Campbell, 66, of Idaho Falls, died Thursday, December 8, 2011, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
She was born February 5, 1945, in Rexburg, Idaho to Alma Henry Engberson and Maurine Beck Engberson. She was raised in Monteview and attended schools in Terreton and Mud Lake areas graduating from West Jefferson High School in 1963. She continued her education at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. On June 19, 1964, she married James E. Campbell Jr. in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple; to this union they added five children. She worked as an administrative assistant for Moffat-Thomas Law Firm in Boise.
Eva was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; she served in the Women’s Auxiliaries including Relief Society President. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, flowers and quilting. She was an outstanding caregiver and an excellent musician. She especially enjoyed her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband James E. Campbell Jr. of Idaho Falls, Idaho, daughters, Debra Lynn (Kenneth) Jones, of Saratoga Springs, Utah, Kimberly (Mitchell) McBride, of St. George, Utah, sons, Todd (Alison) Campbell, of Orem, Utah, Trevor (Michelle) Campbell, of Los Angeles, California, sisters, Martha Herrin, of Provo, Utah, Jan Bird, of Leadore, Idaho, brothers, Ron Engberson, of Monteview, Idaho, Paul Engberson, of Terreton, Idaho, Loyd Engberson, of Monteview, Idaho, and 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Brian Alma Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 12, 2011, at the Idaho Falls Rosewood Ward LDS Chapel, 1345 Clarence Drive. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., Sunday evening and from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., prior to services, both at the church. Burial will be in the West Jefferson Memorial Cemetery, under the care of Eckersell Funeral Home in Rigby.
