Eva Frances Pickering

Eva Frances Pickering, age 88, of Plano, Iowa died June 19, 2008 at the Corydon, Iowa hospital. She was born October 25, 1919 in Nenzel, Nebraska to Mathias and Maria Rosa Nollette Boltz. She grew up and attended school in Nenzel, Nebraska. On May 10, 1939 she married John Malcolm Pickering and to this union were born 3 children. Frances enjoyed being outside working in her yard and just out walking. She is survived by a daughter Jeanne Joiner of Plano, Iowa, a son James Pickering of Idaho Falls, Idaho and sisters Helen Wilson (William) of Caldwell, ID, Barbara Fleming of Boise, ID and June Hargrave (Bernard) of Richland, Wash. Frances was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and 10 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mathias & Rosa, husband John, daughter Janet, 4 brothers Augustine, Luke, Edward and Walter and 4 sisters Mary, Dorothy, Esther & Kathleen. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby, the family will visit with friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ririe - Shelton Cemetery in Ririe, Idaho, under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
