Evelyn Mae Jones

Evelyn Mae Jones, age 80, of Rigby, died Sunday February 11, 2007 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. Evelyn was born February 23, 1926, at Idaho Falls, a daughter to Charles Franklin Kronberg and Hazel Estelle Armstrong Kronberg. She attended Idaho Falls Schools graduating from Idaho Falls High School. She married Gilbert LeRoy Jones, in Idaho Falls, April 5, 1946. She worked as a Telegram Operator in Las Angeles, California, as a Payroll secretary for the Sunnyvale School District in Sunnyvale, California and retired from Idaho Fresh Pak. She enjoyed Square Dancing, crocheting, old movies & musicals, making snicker doodles and collecting spoons from all over the world. She is survived by two daughters, Janice (Clyde) Burnside of Rigby and Kathy (Rick) Weimer of Seattle, Washington, 4 sons: Lloyd Jones of Rigby, Keith (Robin) Jones of Seattle, Washington, Kraig Jones of Rigby and Kent Jones of Seattle, Washington, one sister Margaret Betty Nelson of Idaho Falls, 17 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Charles Daniel Kronberg, one sister, Ethel Alyce Kronberg, her husband Gilbert LeRoy Jones, 1 granddaughter, 1 grandson and 1 daughter-in-law. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby with Bishop James Bazil officiating. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and on Wednesday for one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
