Fern Martha Purser

Fern Martha Purser, 82, of Rexburg, Idaho and formerly of Rigby, Idaho died Friday, June 10, 2005 in Rexburg at the Teton House. Fern was born February 4, 1923 in Milo, Idaho the daughter of Henry Edmund Palmer and Eliza Pearl Bird Palmer. She attended schools in Bates and Rigby, Idaho. She married Elwood C. Page in Rigby, Idaho. They later divorced. She married Austin Peter Purser in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple in 1993. She was an active member of LDS Church. She had served in the Nursery and taught Relief Society. She servied on the Rigby Election Board for many years as Chief Judge She enjoyed reading, raising flowers, country music, cooking and her family. She is survived by two daughters, LaRae F. (E. Theron) Jackson of Layton, Utah and Kathy R. (Francisco) Lazalde of Rigby, Idaho. Five sons, Kyle H. (Verdean) Page of Paul, Idaho, Dennis J. (Bonnie) Page of Castlerock, Washington, Steven A. (Maurine)Purser of Menan, Idaho, Reese P. (Laurie) Purser of Provo, Utah and Stuart L. (Sheila) Purser of Coltman, Idaho. Two sisters, Beulah Brower of Felt, Idaho and Shirley (Dean) Johnson of Lorenzo, Idaho. Two brothers, Wayne (Jean) Palmer of Mesa, Arizona and Wendell Palmer of Burton, Idaho. 37 grandchildren and 50 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Austin Peter Purser on September 11, 1990 and two sons, Derald Page and Gayle E. Page. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Rigby 4th Ward LDS Chapel (71 North 3700 East, Rigby). The family will meet with friends, Monday, June 13, 2005 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel (101 W. Main, Rigby, Idaho) and on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at the 1st and 4th Ward Church from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Milo Cemetery in Milo, Idaho under the direction of Eckersell Funeral Home.
