Florence Irene Simon; 68, of Roberts, Idaho died Friday, April 18, 2003 in Idaho Falls, Idaho at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Irene was born September 15, 1934 at Neligh, Nebraska the daughter of Clarence James Judd and Florence Ida Gustafson Judd. She was raised and attended school in Neligh and Oakdale, Nebraska. She married John B. Simon on July 11, 1953 in Delta, Colorado. In 1962 John and Irene found their home in Roberts, Idaho. Together, she, her husband and sons worked building John Simon Septic Service. She baked delicious desserts for Amy's Cafe in Roberts, Idaho. Irene enjoyed crocheting, crafting, gardening, camping, was a mother and grandmother to so many and loved being with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband John Simon of Roberts, Idaho. Two sons, John S. (Holly) Simon of Menan, Idaho and James E. (Sheila) Simon of Menan, Idaho. Her mother, Florence Ida Judd of Neligh, Nebraska. Two sisters, Jerry (Mort) Beach of Norfolk, Nebraska and Pat (Don) Marshall of Neligh, Nebraska. One brother, Jim (Jan) Judd of Omaha, Nebraska. Five grandchildren, three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Judd and a sister, Betty Jean Mills. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. in the Eckersell Memorial Chapel (101 West Main, Rigby, Idaho). The family will meet with friends on Monday, April 21, 2003 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and on Tuesday, April 22, 2003 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel from 11:30 a.m to 12:45 p.m. Burial will be in the Market Lake Cemetery in Roberts, Idaho under the direction of Eckersell Funeral Home.
