The Lord called Floyd O. Johnson home on August 6th, 2015. He left behind his son’s Wayne Johnson of Ririe, Idaho and Larry Johnson of Las Cruces, New Mexico and his daughter Linda Galloway also of Las Cruces, New Mexico, ten grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Floyd had resided with Wayne and Lila Johnson for the past five years.
Floyd was born February 10th 1925 at Brazito, New Mexico a son to Marion Oliver Johnson and Eppie Thomas Johnson. He lived in the Las Cruces area most of his life.
He served in the United Navy in the South Pacific during WWII and was stationed in Santa Rosa, California at the end of the war.
He married the love of his life, Marie Gillespie, February 10th 1943. They were inseparable for sixty three years until her death in 2006. His desire to be with her again has come to pass.
Floyd was best known in the Las Cruces area as the go to water well and pump man as that was his main line of work from the mid 1950’s to the early 1980’s.
Services for Floyd will be held Wednesday August 12th 2015 at 5:00 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street in Rigby. Burial will be in the Missionary Ridge Cemetery in Mesquite, New Mexico. Services in New Mexico will be under the direction of La Paz-Grahams Funeral Home in Las Cruces, New Mexico
