Foster LaMar “Butch” Crane, age 77, of Rigby, passed away at Homestead of Rexburg Thursday, March 17, 2022. He was born September 6, 1944 in Rigby, Idaho a son to LaMar Carl Crane and Clara Joyce Lemmon Crane. He attended Rigby schools graduating from Rigby High School where he lettered in football. He then attended the University of Utah in Logan, Utah to play football for one year. He married Joanne Smith, to this union Dirk was born. They later divorced. He spent his life living in Southeast Idaho. He enjoyed horses and served as president of Eastern Idaho Riding Association for many years. He was also a member of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Posse for many years and served as President. He served as a Steward and Racing Secretary. He enjoyed watching and playing sports. He is survived by his best friend Francene Jamison, two daughters Amanda (Josh) Ledbetter of Idaho Falls, and Aubrey Jamison of Rigby, two sons Dirk (Sarah) Crane of Middletown, Delaware and Anthony (Niketa) Jamison-Crane of Idaho Falls, three brothers, John (Linda) Crane of Rigby, Doyle (Luann) Crane of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Scott (Cathy) Crane of Menan, and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Parents LaMar and Joyce and a brother Mark Crane. There will be a Celebration of Life for Butch, Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby, Idaho 83442.
