Francis Edward Dragoman, 71, of Lewisville passed away at his home late Wednesday night May 9, 2018.
Francis was born on May 13, 1946 in Santa Rosa, California to Frank Joseph Dragoman and Mildred Beattie Dragoman. He grew up and attended schools in Santa Rosa and graduated from Santa Rosa High School. Francis attended Fresno State University for 2 years on a FFA Scholarship. After college he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War Era in Washington D.C. as an honor guard. While in D.C. he had the honor of carrying Robert Kennedy’s Casket and had dinner with President Lyndon B. Johnson.
Francis was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He enjoyed farming, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He worked as a sporting goods sales rep. for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Dragoman, daughters, Kelly (Ryan) Russell of Ammon, Idaho, Jamie Tanaka of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Heather Dragoman of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Jodi Dragoman (Alan Parker) of Idaho Falls, Idaho, sons, Michael Francis (Maria) Dragoman of Lewisville, Idaho, James Wesley (Holly) Dragoman of Lovelock, Nevada, a sister, Susan (Steve) Jensen, of Santa Rosa, California, a brother, Darryl (Janet) Dragoman of Pine Creek, Oregon, 20 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Francis was preceded by his parents, two brothers, Lynn Dragoman and twin brother Floyd Dragoman.
Services will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at the Lewisville LDS Chapel 101 Main St, Lewisville, ID 83431 at 11:00 AM. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday May 15, 2018 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby, ID from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM and prior to services on Wednesday from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM. Interment will be at the Lewisville Cemetery.
