Frank Archie Kummer, age 65, of Lewisville, Idaho died Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at his home in Lewisville.
Frank was born on August 23, 1938, the son of Charles Francis and Marie Chandler Kummer. He was raised in Soda Springs and attended school there. Frank continued his education at Idaho State University for two years.
Frank served in the United States Air Force from 1958 to 1964. He was stationed in Turkey.
Frank married Marva Kay Burrows on May 6, 1966 at Lewisville, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls L.D.S. Temple on May 4, 1968. As a member of the LDS Church, he served as executive secretary, elders quorum president, high priest group leader, in the young mens presidency, as a scout leader and a home teacher.
Survivors include, his wife Marva Kummer of Lewisville, Idaho, four daughters, Maria (Michael) Sato of Ririe, Idaho, Elaine (Jason) Forman of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Diana (Larry) Walker of Springfield, Oregon, Nancy Kummer of Idaho Falls, Idaho. One son Frank “Russell” Kummer of Taylorsville, Utah, Step sisters, Bonnie Schmier and Elsie Bowman of Idaho Falls, Idaho, one brother Charles Kummer of Oregon, 9 grandchildren.
Frank enjoyed snowmobiling, basketball, snowmobiling, football, snowmobiling, scenic drives and snowmobiling.
Frank was preceded in death by his father, mother and stepmother.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lewisville 1st Ward L.D.S. Chapel with Bishop Kliff Bramwell officiating. The family will meet with friends on Friday, April 11, 2003 at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and prior to the services at the Lewisville Chapel from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Burial will follow the services at the Lewisville Cemetery.
