Freeda Talbot Denning; 83, of Grant, Idaho died Thursday, February 27, 2003 at the
hospital in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Freeda was born November 19, 1919 at Panguitch, Utah the daughter of Orson Albert
Talbot and Sarah Leavitt.
She married Warren C. Denning on August 27, 1939 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Their
marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. As a member of The Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints she served in the Primary and Relief Society.
Freeda bowled on a league for many years. She loved gardening and especially took
pride in her roses. She was an excellent cook. Her greatest pleasures in life were family parties, playing games and giving compassionate service to those in need. Beautiful handwork was one
of her many talents which she passed on to her children and grandchildren. She loved fishing,
golfing, camping, and was a true blue Atlanta Brave fan.
Warren and Freeda enjoyed traveling all over the world. After retirement, they continued
to travel for many years. They have enjoyed spending the winters in Arizona for the past fifteen
years. Their summers have been spent with their family at Aspen Acres.
Freeda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend and touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She loved life and lived it to its fullest.
She is survived by her husband, Warren C. Denning of Grant, Idaho. Three daughters; Marge
(Paul) Wise of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Barbara (Marlow) Cordon of Rigby, Idaho and Judy (John)
Payne of Idaho Falls, Idaho. A son, Joe (Nancy) Denning of Idaho Falls, Idaho. Thirteen
grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Orson Albert and Sarah Talbot. A son, Robert
(Judy) Denning. Two sisters; Alda Colson and Lydia Preece. Five brothers; Verl Talbot, Ora
Talbot, Kumen Talbot, Max Talbot and John Talbot.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 3, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. in the Grant LDS
Ward Chapel with Bishop Dennis Merrill officiating. The family will meet with friends on
Sunday, March 2, 2003 at the Grant LDS Ward Chapel from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and on Monday, March 3, 2003 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Grant Ward Chapel. Burial will be in the Grant Central Cemetery in Grant Idaho under the direction of Eckersell Funeral Home.
